Founder and CEO

I founded Foresight International Education Center in 1994 with the goal of cultivating culturally aware global citizens while promoting Taiwan’s culture. I foster international education relationships worldwide and specialize in marketing. I have established authentic bilingual education programs in Taiwan and across Asia, providing students with the opportunity to further develop their English language skills. Also, I’m a foodie and avid golfer with an interest in financial analysis.

Theresa Hsu

Program Manager

“To find your passion, follow your curiosity.”
I have been fortunate enough to experience living, working and travelling among different continents and I have always believed that travel and education go hand in hand. Opening your mind and hearts to different cultures, meeting people and witnessing the beauty of the big world we live in are some of the best learning experiences. The curiosity for learning about people brought me to Foresight and nothing has made me more proud than to be part of a talented group of people working hard to find the best teachers and connect them with our program and students. I feel lucky to be a part of a company that values the fact that the world is our classroom (literally) and strives to create a place where every student experiences the power of a great teacher and reaches their full potential because of it.

Senior Program Manager

I have been working for Foresight for over 15 years, and I am very grateful to be able to devote my cultural background in both Canadian and Taiwanese living experiences to my career. I'm honoured to be a part of Foresight, to provide great overseas education services to local students as well as rewarding teaching experiences for teachers, and witness the important history in Foresight!

Toby Lin

HR Support

Before working with Foresight, I used to be an English teacher at Taiwanese schools for a few years. I believe that English education not only helps students’ intellectual growth, but also connects them to the world. When I was teaching, I hoped that students could enjoy learning English. Foresight provides a chance for me to get to know the Ontario ESL program and its teaching strategies that lead students to learn language. As an HR team supporter, I can share my teaching experience and the beauty of Taiwan with teachers who come from different countries in the world!

Lian Lister
Lian Lister

Social Media Specialist

As an English teacher, I’ve travelled to Hong Kong, Mexico, China, and South Korea, but no place has captivated me quite like Taiwan. I joined the Foresight family in 2017 as a teacher in the Ontario ESL program, but have since found a new application of my creativity as Foresight’s social media and content specialist. I’m enthusiastic about using digital media as a way to tell stories and share my love for Taiwan with other educators.

Diane Yang

Recruitment Specialist

I have worked for Foresight I.E.C. for over 4 years now, first starting with the summer ESL program and now as a member of the teachers recruitment team. I have seen how Foresight’s ESL program helps the Taiwanese students improve their English and I truly believe that they can become better global citizens through it. I am also very excited to welcome all the teachers who have decided to join the Foresight family and always ready to help our teachers get the most out of their experience with us.

Chris Coyle
Chris Coyle

Ontario Principal in Taiwan

Growing up in Canada, I spent most of my younger years developing my passion for music and continue to be an active musician. I went on to receive music and education degrees from three different countries (Canada, Scotland, and U.S.A.) including a Master of Arts in Education. I've worked for over twenty years with the Lambton Kent District School Board as a high school music teacher, student success teacher, and for the last seven years as an elementary school principal. Currently, I'm using my Ontario background in K to 12 education in Asia where I work as a program principal as part of a partnership between the LKDSB and Foresight International Education Centre. Family is the focus of all that I do and my wife Tanya, our two daughters, and I are enjoying all the learning and wonderful experiences that living in Taiwan is giving us!

Program Support Director

I have always enjoyed reading and deepened my passion for language and literacy during my university degrees. My Master of Science degree thesis involved working on parent shared reading with ESL newcomers to Canada and their preschool children. I worked in the special education department at the Lambton Kent District School Board for 11 years before moving to Taiwan in 2018. These experiences have allowed me to blend my love of technology and education by authoring educational iPad apps and speaking internationally on professional life-long learning. Taiwan and Foresight have been a great fit for our family since moving here with my husband, Chris, and our two daughters, who attend a local elementary Taiwanese school and are learning Chinese as a second language while we support Taiwanese children learning English.

Jackie Bradley Brown

Literacy Consultant

As an educational consultant I develop and facilitate professional learning sessions for the educators at Foresight who teach and learn with students in the English as a second language program. I aim to strengthen the understanding of teachers to provide engaging and authentic purposes, using the ESL curriculum and unit frameworks, for students to use English: listen, speak, read, write, and think critically. Together we will develop English literacy skills and strategies foundational to success in developing English language proficiency.
